Fundraising
In 1955, a group of committed arts patrons set off on a bus through Fort Wayne neighborhoods, going door-to-door collecting change and small contributions in support of local arts groups. From those humble beginnings, Arts United was born. Arts United is the third oldest United Arts Fund (UAF) in the country. Since then, it has remained committed to supporting the arts of northeast Indiana through our annual fund drive.
During the 2007 fund drive campaign alone, $1,115,000 was raised in support of over 80 arts and cultural organizations, special projects and activities. All of this is in an effort to make the Greater Fort Wayne area a great place to live, work, raise a family, and play.
