Community Partnership Grant (CPG) Program Grant Opportunities

Each year Arts United awards more than $40,000 in project support through the Community Partnership Grants (CPG) program. While the CPG program is primarily designed to provide assistance to Arts United Associate and Affiliate members, non-profit organizations and individual artists may also be considered for grant awards. CPGs are small grants (maximum $4,000) awarded to support activities and projects seeking to achieve one or more of the following goals:

1. To further the understanding and appreciation of the vital role the arts can play in education;
2. To further the understanding and appreciation of this country's rich cultural heritage;
3. To help ensure access, for all sectors of our citizenry, to the wide variety of arts activities that take place in our community.

All not-for-profit organizations and individual artists in Region #3 are eligible to apply for CPG funding. Applications are available in January of each year, and the application deadline is generally around the second week of April. Grant recipients are notified of their awards in June, and funds for the fiscal year are disbursed beginning in July.

Grant applications are reviewed by a panel representative of a broad spectrum of the community, including art specialists, educators, and community professionals. The grant panel's recommendations are then submitted to the Arts United Board of Directors for approval.

Evaluation Criteria:
· Quality of project
· Community impact
· Fiscal responsibility
· Thoroughness of planning
· Project evaluation plan
· Adherence to one or more of the CPG program goals
